Well, I have to say finding a wedding venue and setting a date has been the hardest part of the whole planning process. We wanted something that meant something to us and our relationship together as well as accessible for all our families. I searched the Internet for weeks on end and when we came to Testarossa Vineyards we knew that this was the spot. Testarossa is located in Los Gatos, California. When we come to Los Gatos, we stay in a cozy 1950's home that has been in Mr. Marshmellow's family for a few generations now. This is often our time to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life and enjoy the surrounding hiking trails and charming downtown shops and restaurants.
The winery was originally built in 1888 by Northern Italian Jesuit Fathers and Brothers from the college at Mission Santa Clara as a means to fund their new seminary college built on the grounds the same year. They also produced a majority of the states Church altar wine (even during prohibition!http://www.testarossa.com/). It also happens to be located about a five minute walk from the Los Gatos house. It was meant to be. When we visited the site it had everything; friendly staff, an outdoor ceremony site, great wine, parking (yes this is important!) and tons of great photo ops.
